Adult Programming

The Holmes Public Library offers many programs for Adults.

 Whether you are looking for a group to discuss a mystery, get feedback on your latest short story or baby blanket you’ve been knitting, there are opportunities for you to get involved at the Library!

Mystery, Afternoon or Evening Adult Book Clubs – These casual and engaging book clubs meet monthly.  Titles are always available at the Front Desk and New Members are always welcome.

Bookmobile – The Library provides a home-bound book delivery for Halifax Residents. Find out more.

Drop In Knitting – Drop-In Knitting and the Holmes Public Library Fibers Arts Group is an informal group interested in all types of Textile Handiwork- knitting, crochet, quilting, etc.   Every Tuesday from 10am to noon.

Halifax Writes – Halifax Writes is the in-house Writing Group of the Holmes Library.  It meets once a month to share  works, offer advice, and encouragement.

Genealogy – The Genealogy Club meets monthly and is entirely patron run.  Join other amateur family historians in a casual atmosphere to share findings, resources and ideas of your mutual interest.  Can’t make a meeting?  Join their Facebook page!
